Your commentary here does not make any sense. What is so suprising about a bunch of people getting together to honor a home-town hero?

Oh, it was not at all surprising. Neither was the coverage it received from the Enquirer. Their head-over-heels euphoria for the Doc is nothing new. The way the article was worded was about as surprising to me as a sunrise.
btw- Hometown hero... that is pushing it. All it takes is 300+ people showing up to an event that is a political piñata filled with journalists, deep pockets, and other power mongers??? Heroes just aren't what they used to be.
